This year, the cello trio “Melo-M” celebrates its 20th anniversary and, to mark the occasion, invites you to a series of special concerts across various cities in Latvia in the spring of 2025. Over the past two decades, the group has built an extensive repertoire spanning multiple genres and styles, ensuring that each concert will feature a unique program tailored to the time and place.
This concert is dedicated to the awakening of nature, bringing you melodies that evoke the feelings of spring. The program will include original compositions by Kārlis Auzāns from films and the Latvian Song and Dance Celebration repertoire, as well as folk music, world music, and some of the most energetic pop and rock hits.
Joining the trio on stage will be one of Latvia’s most talented percussionists, Miķelis Vīte. The trio consists of three classically trained musicians – Miķelis Dobičins, Kārlis Auzāns, and Jānis Pauls. “Melo-M” is known for its diverse musical interpretations, performing everything from pop and rock to folk, classical, and contemporary academic music. Over the years, the trio has shared the stage with many internationally acclaimed artists and has earned recognition in numerous countries worldwide.
